That is so true about the camera focusing on the texture of the fabric instead of the item. I have a small light tent, but the backgrounds which are attached to it are all useless for that reason. Thanks for these tips, they are great!

Everything I read says use your macro setting and don’t use a flash. I have a Canon EOS Rebel XTi. I can set it to macro OR to flash off. How do I do both???
