Zipadeedodah!

I’m not holding my breath, because I do live in Maine with the understanding that we could have a foot of snow next week, but it is a beau–tee–ful day out there today! There’s a warm west wind blowing, and by this afternoon all the snow will be gone. Not that I’m complaining about the snow–we hardly had any at all, since all those big storms passed just to our south.

I do wish I were outside, though. I’m at work, doing taxes. We end up sitting here watching the first warm days of the year pass us by while we’re getting the druggery done. The trade-off is that we have the rest of the year off.

The whole banking issue seems to be straightening itself out, so this past week was a huge improvement over the week before. I’m also waiting for baby kiln to cool down after the bisque firing I did this morning. It dawned on me that I needed to get some product ready since I’ll be having some pieces in Beads 2010 and summer Stringing. How lame would that be to have an empty shop?

Feels good to be playing in the clay a little bit. After I missed that week of work at the office, I’ve felt like I had to get in as many hours as possible. My missing work for one week during tax season (11 weeks)  equals someone else missing 5 weeks during a full year,  so I didn’t feel justified playing. We’re fairly well caught up–till the next onslaught of drop-offs which should be happening in the next week or so (those are the “oh my God we don’t have our taxes done yet and there’s 3 weeks left” crowd).

Well, I’m down to the end of my Chinese food, so I guess I need to get back to work.  I’ll leave you with another shot of spring.

Oh, and by the way, why are you inside reading this when you could be out in the sunshine??? Go!!! Scoot!!! (feeling a little like Ferris right now–bow, bow, chick—chicka chicka!)

    thanks ferris!!
it was beautiful today for sure – and this is surely a gift from march… not banking on it lasting all that long! even if you cannot be out all day – try to step out to let the sun hit your face and feel the warmth…
