Well, the craft fair I attended yesterday was slow. On the plus side, I have lots of stuff to list in the shop now. As the day goes on I’ll get more ornaments listed, along with some holiday-themed pendants. And a reminder–everything in my shop, including new listings, is 15% off till midnight EST on Monday.
Off to tend to the mountains of housework that didn’t get done this week. UGH!
In honor of the shopping madness that traditionally goes on this weekend, I’m offering 15% off my entire stock in my Etsy Shop. Iwill be refunding your 15% via Paypal after you check out. This sale will go on till midnight on November 30.
I will be closing my shop for a short while on Saturday to attend the Neighborly Craft fair in North Berwick. My entire inventory will be headed to the fair, so if there is anything in my shop that you would like me to reserve, let me know now. It will be closed from about 8 am till the end of the fair, then I’ll hustle to get it back open.
Off to shut off the kiln. Hoping to get a few more bracelets and pairs of earrings made this afternoon. One more load tonight which I’ll unload in the morning, then I’ll be off!
As you can see this week I’ve been trying to get some finished pieces of jewelry ready for the show Saturday. I’m also spending the next few days getting some ornaments finished for my little tree that I picked up at Walmart last year after Christmas for $5. When Isaac gets a little bigger maybe we’ll set it up in his room so he can have his own little tree.
I love how the white glaze looks on the terracotta. When I first started with the terracotta clay I had mixed feelings about it, but I find myself reaching for it more and more.
Tonight I’ll be glazing like mad so I can load the kiln in the morning and fire before we head to North Berwick. I’ll have to combine some greenware with the glaze load, which is not ideal, but time is running short.
Hope you all enjoy Thanksgiving! Remember, if you don’t hurt after dinner then you’re doing something wrong

I have a LOT of glazing to do over the next week. I have a show in North Berwick on the 28th. When I have a stack of stuff like this, it’s overwhelming trying to pick out glaze colors. I know I’ll have a selection of the token Christmas reds and greens, but what else remains to be seen. Now I’m going to try tumbling my round beads and spacers in an attempt to reduce my prep work. If this works it will save my hands.

I am WAY out of practice with my wirework skills. This is actually my second or third try to get this piece to come out. Nothing very complicated, jump rings and chain. I knew what I wanted to do with them, but do you think my fingers were cooperating? I lost count of how many times I dropped the rings. I’ve entered this piece in the Humblebeads “Fun with Focals” challenge.
Which leads me to believe that I better get hopping if I want any finished jewelry for the craft fair at the end of the month. This piece turned into an all afternoon project. Yikes!
Off to work on a custom order. Clay only, no wire involved, so with any luck I’ll be able to get to bed at a normal time.
