Very few losses in these loads (4 to be precise). I was able to fire twice yesterday; I spent Saturday night (late) stringing the pieces onto wires, then first thing Sunday I did my first firing. Turned the kiln off before we headed off to a party, then did the next load in the evening. I have necklaces and rings heading off for consignment, so I needed to get this firing done. I’ll be epoxying (is that a word?) the ceramic pieces onto the adjustable ring bands this afternoon, and hopefully shipping tomorrow.
When I first took pictures I had all the pieces together and wasn’t really sure how I felt about this load. I then decided that comparing white clay with terracotta is pretty much apples and oranges, so I separated them out. Much better.
I’ve already listed some buttons in my Etsy shop, with more to come later.
I apologize for some of the funky formatting here lately. I’m trying to get used to the new WordPress dashboard and I haven’t quite got the hang of it yet.
